People usually say that the Bergen Like a Local tours are highly personalized and engaging experiences, with travelers frequently praising knowledgeable and friendly guides who offer authentic local insights and personalized recommendations for restaurants and hidden neighborhoods[2][4]. The most appreciated aspects include guides who listen to your interests and adapt the itinerary accordingly, creating a more personal connection than standard group tours[4]. However, some reviewers have noted inconsistency in guide quality, with occasional negative experiences mentioning guides lacking local knowledge or sufficient preparation, though the company has responded to concerns by promising internal improvements[2]. Overall, when matched with experienced guides like Reza, Ida, or Reysa, travelers highly recommend the tour; when paired with less knowledgeable guides, expectations may not be met[2][4].
