It's a simple route to follow from Inverness. If riders feel energetic, they can even make the ride longer! The route is mostly free of cars, using quiet country roads instead of busy roads. Along the way, riders will pass through Bellfield Park, Inverness, Ness Islands, and the Caledonian Canal. Part of the route follows The Caledonia Way (NCN 78). A good stop for a break is the Dores Inn, right on Loch Ness. The main attraction, of course, is Loch Ness itself! This self-guided tour gives riders a water bottle and a helmet to use. Food, drinks, and a guide are not included, allowing for a flexible and independent exploration of this beautiful area.
