The Journey
Île aux Cygnes Statue of Liberty
Discover Paris's own version of Lady Liberty on Île aux Cygnes, a slender artificial island in the Seine. While significantly smaller than its New York counterpart, this 11.5-meter-tall replica offers a unique photo opportunity with the Eiffel Tower in the background. This statue is a charming reminder of the Franco-American friendship and a delightful surprise for visitors exploring the Seine.
Eiffel Tower
Witness the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower, an iconic symbol of Paris and France, from the enchanting perspective of the Seine River. Built for the 1889 World's Fair, this wrought-iron lattice tower was once the world's tallest structure. Its elegant silhouette against the Parisian skyline is a breathtaking sight, representing French innovation and architectural prowess.
Louvre Museum
Admire the majestic Louvre Museum, a former royal palace and one of the world's largest and most visited art museums, from the serene waters of the Seine. Home to masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, the Louvre's iconic architecture and rich history are amplified when viewed from the river, offering a unique glimpse into centuries of artistic and cultural heritage.
Alexandre-III Bridge
Marvel at the opulent Alexandre-III Bridge, a testament to Franco-Russian friendship, as you cruise along the Seine. This ornate bridge, adorned with sculptures of nymphs, winged horses, and gilded details, provides a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower and the Grand Palais. Its elegant design and historical significance make it one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris.
Pont Neuf
Glide under the historic Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge in Paris, and experience its timeless charm. Despite its name meaning 'New Bridge,' the Pont Neuf dates back to the 17th century and is famed for its distinctive mascarons – whimsical stone masks adorning its sides. This iconic landmark offers a captivating glimpse into Parisian history and architecture.
Notre-Dame Cathedral
Behold the architectural masterpiece of Notre-Dame Cathedral from the Seine River, and witness the ongoing restoration of this iconic landmark. Although partially damaged by a fire in 2019, Notre-Dame remains a symbol of Parisian resilience and a testament to Gothic architecture. Its intricate facade and historical significance evoke a sense of awe and reverence.
Paris Plages
Experience the unexpected delight of Paris Plages, the temporary artificial beaches that transform the banks of the Seine into a summer oasis. During July and August, the riverside roadways are transformed into sandy beaches, complete with palm trees and activities, offering a unique and playful Parisian experience.
Seine River
Cruise along the Seine River, the lifeblood of Paris, and immerse yourself in the city's enchanting atmosphere. As you glide past iconic landmarks and picturesque embankments, you'll discover the heart and soul of Paris, experiencing its history, culture, and beauty from a unique and captivating perspective.
Know Before You Go
This private tour includes private transportation and bottled water for your comfort. Please note that a guide, food, and tickets to monuments are not included. The meeting point is at Port Javel Haut. Please be on time, as late arrivals may shorten the cruise duration. Remember to download the necessary map applications for easy navigation to the meeting spot.
Hot Tip
To make the most of the tour, arrive 15 minutes early, as finding the meeting point in a busy city can be challenging. Also, remember to bring a phone with map service for easy navigation. Bringing your own snacks and drinks can enhance your experience on the water.
Review Summary
Customers generally say that the private cruises offer an unforgettable and intimate experience with wonderful views of Paris landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame from the Seine. The French Champagne and personalized service add a luxurious touch highly praised by travelers. Positive feedback often highlights the friendly and accommodating family-run business and the unique private setting. Negative points occasionally noted include tight seating on the smaller boat and the challenge of Paris traffic making timely arrival important. The location by the Statue of Liberty is convenient, and the overall value is considered excellent for a special occasion or gift.
