Forge Your Own Metal: Tennessee Smelting Workshop
120
Overview
Private Tennessee Workshop for Smelting Ingots and Coins takes place on a scenic 5-acre residence where participants will dive into the basics of metal smelting. This unique class, perfect for beginners, skips the usual learning curve and expense, going straight to the fun part of melting and pouring metal.
Participants will learn about the tools and techniques needed for metal smelting and information on common metals that can be cast. With guidance, they'll smelt an aluminum ingot and coin, learning to remove impurities and cast the metal. Alternatively, a palm-sized baby Yoda mold is available instead of the ingot. Participants can then polish and personalize their creations. The finished ingot and coin are theirs to keep as a memento.
Coin options include a Pirate Doubloon and the Jolly Roger from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the John Wick Continental coin, and a Star Wars Imperial Credit. If the scheduled times don't work, feel free to request a preferred date and time.
