The Journey
Marble Mountains
Venture into the mystical Marble Mountains, a cluster of five limestone hills named after the elements: metal, water, wood, fire, and earth. Explore hidden cave entrances and navigate through ancient tunnels, ascending to the summit of Mount Thuy for panoramic views. Discover serene Buddhist sanctuaries nestled within these natural wonders. Historically a source of stone for local artisans, the Marble Mountains now stand as a protected site, showcasing intricate stone sculptures and offering a glimpse into Vietnam's rich artistic heritage. Though direct rock extraction is now prohibited, stone craftsmanship, using materials sourced elsewhere, remains a vibrant tradition in the surrounding villages.
Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain)
Escape to the verdant paradise of Son Tra Mountain, also known as Monkey Mountain, a protected national park soaring 693 meters above sea level in Da Nang. Experience a refreshing retreat from the city's bustle, surrounded by lush forests and pristine beaches like Bai Bac, Bai Nam, Bai But, and Tien Sa Beach. Keep an eye out for the rare red-shanked douc langurs, one of the world's most striking primate species, as you explore winding roads with mesmerizing coastal vistas. Whether you seek adventure or serenity, Son Tra Mountain offers an unparalleled blend of natural beauty and tranquility just a short drive from Da Nang.
