The Journey
Rocky Mountains
Immerse yourself in the unparalleled beauty of the Rocky Mountains, a vast and majestic range offering breathtaking vistas at every turn. Journey through vibrant meadows teeming with wildlife, serene aspen groves shimmering in the sunlight, and alongside rushing rivers that carve paths through the rugged terrain. Discover hidden waterfalls cascading down rocky cliffs, as a knowledgeable guide shares captivating stories of the region's history, geology, and ecology. Whether you're an avid hiker, nature enthusiast, or simply seeking solace in the great outdoors, the Rockies offer an unforgettable experience that will leave you in awe of nature's grandeur.
Alpine Visitor Center
Ascend to the heights of the Rocky Mountains and discover the Alpine Visitor Center, perched at an elevation that offers panoramic views stretching as far as the eye can see. Open from Memorial Day through Fall, this unique destination provides a welcome respite with food, drinks, and souvenirs to commemorate your visit. Experience the thrill of being above the treeline, surrounded by the raw beauty of the alpine environment. Take in the crisp mountain air, capture stunning photographs, and learn about the unique ecosystem that thrives at this altitude. Note that the center closes for the winter months, typically in October, as the high-altitude conditions become too severe.
Alluvial Fan
Discover the Alluvial Fan, a striking display of nature's power and resilience. Created by a historic dam collapse in 1982, this unique landscape features a cascade of water tumbling through a boulder field, a testament to the dynamic forces that shape our world. Recently reconstructed in 2020, the trail to the Alluvial Fan is now fully accessible, allowing visitors of all abilities to experience this breathtaking site. Meander along the path, cross the Roaring River on a 56-foot bridge, and marvel at the stunning views of the Mummy Range, Horseshoe Falls, and Endovalley. The Alluvial Fan is not just a place to visit, but a place to reflect on the power of nature and the beauty of adaptation.
