The Six-day French Cooking Course in Brittany offers a hands-on experience in French and modern European cuisine. Hosted by French Dining School, this intensive course allows participants to master chef skills and create gourmet dishes under the guidance of a Michelin-trained chef. Over the course of six days, students will help prepare over thirty dishes, including lunch and dinner (excluding Thursday lunch).
Participants will learn a wide array of skills and techniques, such as making sauces, baking, working with meats, vegetables, fish, and seafood, pairing wines, baking breads, creating desserts and ice creams, smoking fish, making canapés, setting tables, and tasting wines. The course is taught in English. The experience provides the opportunity to explore famous French landmarks like the historic monastic fort of Le Mont St. Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry in Bayeux, and the megalithic site of Carnac.
The experience includes lunch for four days and dinner for six nights. Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged from designated meeting points. All wines, champagnes, and soft drinks are included during the course. Participants will have six nights of accommodations arranged locally or in a chateau. What is excluded is lunch on Market Day and Air/Sea transport to France.
