Smith's Castle 17th Century Historical Home and Trading Post lets everyone learn about history in a new way! Walk around the grounds of Smith’s Castle, built way back in 1678, and discover three big parts of American history, even when the museum is closed.
Get ready to use a smartphone and meet the FreshMaps team. They will give a “digital clue packet” (you need to download an app and have internet). This special app tells stories with videos as people walk around. Then, it has fun “challenges” like trivia, puzzles, and mini-games that make learning history easy and fun!
Visitors will learn about the native people who lived there first, how people traded and gardened in early colonial times, stories from King Philip's War, and even how the castle connects to the Revolutionary War. Plus, they'll see how this Historic Building (Built 1678) has changed over the years. This experience uses a Digital Mobile App Scavenger Hunt.
