Let's experience calligraphy in YANAKA, Taito-ku, TOKYO !! This experience offers a deep dive into Japanese culture through the art of calligraphy in the YANESEN district of Tokyo. This art class is held in the historic Yanaka neighborhood, known for its traditional atmosphere and artistic heritage.

The calligraphy class starts with an explanation of Shodo, including the use of brushes, paperweights, Sumi ink, Suzuri ink wells, and Hanshi paper. The instructor demonstrates how to properly hold and care for the brush before participants begin writing. The class includes practice sessions for basic strokes found in Japanese Kanji characters, such as vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines. Participants then practice copying example Kanji.
