Virtual Reality Journey to Ortigia invites everyone to step back in time and experience Syracuse like never before. Using VR technology, this tour brings ancient Greek myths and epic moments to life right before the participant's eyes.
The journey combines real-world exploration with immersive virtual experiences, touring through baroque alleys, legendary squares and ancient corners of the city, witnessing breathtaking 3D reconstructions of Greek and medieval Syracuse. This unique blend makes it perfect for families, groups, and anyone curious about history.
Participants will pick up VR equipment at the Dolci Escursioni information point and meet to begin the tour. A web app guides the participant through history, culture, and wonders in immersive reality and they can also choose to follow the experience right on their smartphone or tablet. This tour includes cardboard VR viewer, interactive videos, and an interactive map of Ortigia.
