The day begins with a 3-hour whale watching tour. Boats leave from Reykjavik's Old Harbour. Keep an eye out for minke whales, dolphins, porpoises, and humpback whales in Faxaflói bay. The winter views are amazing!
Between tours, there is time to explore the city. The Old Harbour and Grandi areas have good restaurants and shops. In the evening, a 2-hour Northern Lights cruise heads into Faxaflói bay, away from the city. Under a starry sky, the Northern Lights might appear!

Hot Tip
Dress warmly in layers, even if it doesn't seem that cold. It can get very cold on the boat, especially at night. Also, take seasickness medicine if prone to motion sickness. The boat can be rocky, and it is better to be prepared. If the Northern Lights tour is canceled, reschedule it for another night. The lights are a natural event, so its best to try multiple times.
