Bordeaux (Expert Guides)
Cognac Masterclass with a certified Educator. This special class takes place near Segonzac, in a guest house that was once used to store cognac. The guest house sits in the heart of the Grande Champagne vineyard, a short drive from the town of Cognac.
During the masterclass, guests will learn about how cognac is made, from the grapes that are grown to how the flavors change as the cognac ages. The class will cover the history of cognac making in the region. Guests will get to try three different cognacs from the same maker, each aged differently, to compare the tastes and smells.
The distillery where the class is held is located between the villages of Segonzac and Saint-Preuil. It sits among the vineyards near the wine estates of Rémy Martin and Hennessy. Visitors may also want to see the Romanesque church nearby. The class includes a booklet with a tasting sheet and a professional cognac teacher. Guests can choose to smell the cognacs instead of drinking them. This experience does not include transportation or personal shopping. With glowing reviews from past participants, this masterclass promises an unforgettable journey into the world of cognac.
